Flame-finished larch

The Klippa Sakaide model is a FENNEN brand front door from Kowa. he exterior design is determined by larch with the burning pattern Sakaide. The grain of the timber looks as though it is glowing. Manufactured in the traditional Shou-Sugi-Ban technique, the wood is then brushed and oiled, creating a unique, vibrant structure. The shadow joints between the individual timber planks are lined with aluminium profiles. These can be designed either in the colour of the frame or according to individual wishes.

The 700-year-old Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technology was originally used for timber preservation: The one-sided burning creates a natural timber protection, while the timber surface takes on a completely new structure, colour and aesthetics. This creates works of art with a strong character, making every FENNEN front unmistakably unique.
